Standard Service
- Use garbage bags or your own personal garbage bins. We do not empty City owned black bins due to City bylaws.
- Some bigger items accepted. (Ex. Large broken toys, Styrofoam, broken office chair) please no mattresses or large furniture.
- Use your own waste bins to deter pests. Hardware stores sell these such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot and Rona.
- Please bag all garbage! We do things old-school, so we pick up most garbage and bins by hand.
- Renovation/construction and material not accepted.
- No excessive recyclable material.
- No yard waste, please use your City green cart / paper yard waste bags for green waste removal.

Is There A Garbage Limit For Standard Service?
In order to keep our service as affordable as possible for everyone, we ask you to try and keep your garbage volume to around 5 garbage bags each collection day. Have a bit extra? Give us a heads up and we can help you out.
Service with BIG Bin
Need a bin? No problem! We have partnered with Trash Pandas Calgary, who will be providing bins to households who desire a large bin with their service.
These bins are LARGER than your standard City provided bin and you can still place the odd larger item outside that won’t fit in it provided it is an acceptable item and able to be easily lifted by one person.
